Born in 1986, Sudheer I. is a traditional Kalamkari artist, a style of painting which is done on cotton or silk fabric with a tamarind pen, using natural dyes. Sudheer applies the traditional 23 methods of dyeing, bleaching, hand painting, block printing, starching, cleaning to his paintings. Motifs drawn span from flowers, peacocks, paisleys to divine characters of Hindu epics like the Mahabharata and Ramayana. He also paints on canvases using traditional Kalamkari motifs.

Sudheer has won the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Award in 2006, and the Andhra Pradesh State Award in 2007. He has participated in exhibitions at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalya, Bhopal in 2019 and the Lalit Kala Academi in New Delhi in 2019 amongst others.
